Hildegard A. Kurt

Hildegard A. Kurt, 94, of Nazareth, Pa., formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ and Roanoke, Va., passed away on August 6^th, 2024 surrounded by her family.  Born on July 25^th, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Anne Kusterer Keitel. Her husband, Ewald H. Kurt, passed away in 2015.  A proud New Yorker, Hildegard was a graduate of Brooklyn College.  A lifelong volunteer, she was active with the Girl Scouts for 50 years, active with W.E.L.C.A, Church Women United, and was the current President of the Resident’s Council at Moravian Hall Square.  Hildegard is survived by her children Jeffrey Kurt and wife Kathy, Christopher Kurt, and Andrea Flannery and husband Michael. Her surviving brothers are Peter Keitel and wife Susan, Jay Keitel and wife Dianne. There are 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren surviving. Hildegard was predeceased by her daughter in law, Sheila.  Viewing hours will be held on Friday August 9, 2024 from 7 to 9 pm at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, Pa.  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 at 11 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 200 S. Broad St., Nazareth, Pa.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org
