Todd M. Speciale Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Todd M. Speciale. A beloved father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and godson, Todd passed unexpectedly on Monday, September 30, 2024.

Todd was born in Easton, PA, he was the son of Joyce Speciale-Detweiler and the late Donald Detweiler, Jr.

Todd was the kind of person who always had a smile on his face and never hesitated to help others, always putting everyone else’s needs before his own. Todd had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and welcomed, no matter who he was speaking to.

Todd was a proud graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1998, Johnson and Wales University, from which he received his bachelor’s degree and the Allentown Business School. Todd spent eight years at the ASPCA in Manhattan, NY, as a CSR Manager, before becoming a member of the FOODMatch family, where he worked as a logistics specialist. Todd played soccer, basketball and baseball for Wilson High School, and later in life was an avid golfer, playing countless rounds with his father. He loved to fish, play softball in the Yellowjackets Softball League in Brooklyn, NY, watch his kids play soccer and volleyball and cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes, the New York Yankees and the Denver Broncos. Although Todd grew up in Easton, PA, he lived and worked in New York, NY for sixteen years and loved every moment of it.

Along with his mother, Todd is survived by his three children, Vanessa, Evan and Lucas Speciale, whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by his brothers, Rob and Ed, his New York family, Rebecca, Hector, Justin, Ivette and Jose, his uncle V and aunt Linda, his uncle Donald and aunt Carol, his aunt Cathi and uncle Howie, his aunt Margie, his cousins; Jeff and Steff, Greg and Tammy, Chris and Rae, Keri and Dom and Sarah and his great-cousins; Stella, Libby and Ryker. In addition to his father, who Todd considered to be his best-friend, Todd was predeceased by his grandparents, Vincent and Sophie “Baba” Speciale and Donald and Edith Detweiler, his aunt Barbara and his uncle Richard.
