James M. Frelak Obituary

James M. Frelak, 80, of Williams Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Born on July 12, 1944, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Miecheslaw and Helen (Tomowski) Frelak. James was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Ballantyne) Frelak, who passed in 2000.

James honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart. Upon returning home, he began working for the Ford Motor Company, at their manufacturing plant in Edison, NJ, from which he retired after thirty-five years. James was a longtime member of the St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, in Easton, PA, he enjoyed watching Jeopardy every night and he loved to read.

James is survived by his daughter, Helena Frelak and her husband, Robert Piazza, of Williams Township, PA, his grandchildren, Jackie Kubiak and Robert and Rebecca Piazza and his great-grandchildren, Jackson and Reven. Along with his wife and parents, James was predeceased by his daughter, Arlene Frelak, who passed in 2011.

A Viewing is scheduled for the morning of Friday, April 25, 2025, from 8:45 to 9:45 AM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM, at the St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. The interment will then be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Easton, PA.
