She was born in Rockford, Ill, the daughter of Joseph Ragauskas and Anna (Richter) Ragauskas. She was raised in Wisconsin with her brothers, Eugene Bealhen & Jack Regen, who predeceased her. She graduated from Washington Park High School.

She married Joseph Subits and moved to Pennsylvania, where she worked at  various jobs including Line Operator at Western Electric, Allentown, PA and later in Integrated Circuit Manufacturing at AT&T, Allentown, PA.

Her positive attitude, bright smile, steady nature, giving spirit, empathy for others were the hallmarks of her life. She loved children and volunteered as Cub Scout Den Mother and a nursery school aid for the Easter Seals Society, helping handicapped children. After having a heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery in 1989, she visited heart patients in Mended Hearts programs, at local area hospitals. She was an active member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in E. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph Relly.

Puzzles, reading and music from Frank Sinatra & Tony Bennett to classical, country & jazz, especially New Orleans Jazz filled her days.  Movies and Movie stars were of great interest from the time she was a young girl going to the movies with girlfriends. One of her all-time favorites was The Way We Were, starring actress and singer Barbara Streisand.

Each week she looked forward to playing cards with her good friends including her sister In-law Mary Schuster. They especially enjoyed sharing stories about family, friends and current events. May everything in this my being, be directed to Thy glory

And may I never despair

For I am under Thy hand

And in Thee is all power and goodness.

Give me a pure heart – that I may see Thee,

A humble heart – that I may hear Thee,

A heart of love – that I may serve Thee

A heart of faith – that I may abide.

Amen
