Sandra Hanks

Sandra Hanks, 84, of Forks Twp.,PA, passed away on September 23, 2025 at St. Luke’s Anderson Campus.  Sandra was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, on August 31, 1941, the daughter of the late Christopher and Magdaline Dulac McAtee.  Her husband, John “Tom” Hanks, passed away in 2018.

Sandy was a graduate of St. Philip and St. James Parochial School and Phillipsburg High School Class of 1959.  She was employed by Hoffman LaRoche for many years as an Administrative Assistant in the Vitamin C Division.  She was active in the Roche Ski Club and Social Committee organizing ski trips and employee outings to resorts and events throughout America.  Along with Tom, Sandy was an avid traveler, skier, diner and volunteer.  She was a member and lector at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church. 

Sandy is survived by her brothers John McAtee (wife Nancy), and Chris McAtee (wife Debbie).  Above all, “Aunt Sandy” was kind and caring for her niece and nephews Amanda Snyder (husband Luke Snyder), Sean McAtee, Chris McAtee and Patrick McAtee (wife Beth).  Grand nieces and nephews are Callan, Emily, Eamon, Brennan, Owen, Quinn and Remi.  As she faced the health challenges of recent years, Sandy lived her life in faith, laughter and perseverance.  Her warm caring spirit will always be remembered.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday September 30, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton, Pa. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine. The Finegan Funeral Home of Easton, PA has been entrusted with arrangements.
