Beatrice M. Finnen Obituary

Margaret Louise “Meg” Flynn (née McAndrew), 86, was called home to God on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Madison, New Jersey surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania on July 17, 1939, Meg was a graduate of St. Rose High School and the Lackawanna Business School in Scranton, PA.  She was a stewardess for American Airlines from 1961-1963, based in New York City, an experience that reflected her grace, independence and adventurous spirit.   In 1961, at a party in New York City Meg met Jack Flynn of Scranton and their love affair began. Meg and Jack were married for 48 years and together raised four children in Easton, Pennsylvania.  Faith was the center of their marriage.

Meg was an active member St. Jane Frances de Chantal in Easton and maintained a lifelong dedication to the Blessed Mother.  She was highly involved in her community, regularly volunteering her time at local soup kitchens and food pantries, and was well known for helping her neighbors. As her family grew Meg was devoted to her grandchildren with equal energy and delighted in her role as grandmother.

Meg is survived by her four children and their spouses: Maura and Brian Doherty, Sheila and Edwin Keating, Conor and Kristine Flynn, and Daniel and Julia Flynn as well as her sister, Clarita McAndrew.  Her countless memories and funny stories will live on through her grandchildren Maeve Foley and her husband Jackson, Declan Doherty, Brendan Doherty, Edwin Keating, Jack Keating, Erin Flynn, Ava Flynn, Lily Flynn, Finn Flynn, and Will Flynn.

Meg was predeceased by her husband, Jack Flynn; her parents, Anna and Frank McAndrew; her beloved aunt, Mary Martin; and her siblings, Joseph McAndrew, James McAndrew, Thomas McAndrew, Frank McAndrew, and Ann Marie McAndrew.

Meg’s family would like to thank Jelani Lee and his staff at Sunrise, Madison, for the beautiful care received as well as Rene, Katie and Guiliana from Affinity Care of New Jersey.  We are forever grateful for the love given.
