Joseph F. Raimo

Joseph F. Raimo, 74, of Wind Gap, PA, passed away peacefully at his home in Arizona on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Born on April 7, 1952, in Glen Ridge, NJ, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Schillaci) Raimo.

Joe owned and operated JFR Salvage in Wind Gap for 52 years and was well respected by his peers throughout the scrap metal industry.  He was a devoted member of the Grace Bible Fellowship Church, in Nazareth, PA. 

Joe enjoyed coaching the football and baseball youth programs for Pen Argyl and Plainfield Twp for many years and regularly contributed to local schools, programs, and first responders throughout his life.  He was an avid sports fan cheering on both the New York Giants and New York Yankees.

Joseph was predeceased by his son, John Raimo. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara J. (Tolan) Raimo, his grandson, Joseph Raimo, his sisters, Michele Dicerbo (Tony) and Laurie Richard (Sam), his niece, his nephews and his great niece.

A Viewing is scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA. A Funeral Service is set for 12:00 PM the following day, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 100 E Beil Ave, Nazareth, PA, with an additional viewing period preceding from 10:45 to 11:45:00 AM. The interment will then be at the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township, PA.
