Frank J. (Francesco Luigi) Curcio, 95, of Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026.
Born on April 28, 1931, in Petrizzi (Catanzaro), Italy, he was the second son of the late Dominic and Elizabeth (Viscomi) Curcio. Frank spent his early years in Italy, attending seminary school in Soverato Marina, before moving to the United States and graduating from Saints Philip and James High School in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
In 1950, Frank proudly answered the call of duty and joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Germany for three years, a pivotal time in his life where he met his beloved wife, Gerda (Kieswetter) Curcio. The couple shared 70 beautiful years of marriage together until her passing in 2024.
Frank dedicated the majority of his professional life to the hospitality and food service industry. He was a familiar, welcoming face in the community, serving with distinction as a manager of The Hotel Easton and later for the Pomfret Club. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for people allowed him to build lifelong friendships with patrons and colleagues alike. Upon his retirement from The Pomfret Club in 2003, the board of directors bestowed upon him a unique honor, electing him as the club’s only “Honorary Member.”
He is preceded by his wife Gerda, brother Anthony Curcio, sister in law Doris Jenkins and her husband George Jenkins and brother in law Alfred Pipperata. He is survived by his daughter, Michele Curcio; his son, Michael Curcio and his wife, Stacey; his sister, Mary Piperata; and his two cherished grandchildren, Liam and Sofia. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Interment will be held privately in the Veterans Section at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
