Sarah I. Alercia, 96, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Born on March 11, 1930, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabel (Springfield) Eck.
Sarah spent her early years waitressing in various restaurants in downtown Easton and then went on to work at Magnetic Winding and Tuller McClure Textile. Sarah dedicated many years working at the Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, in Pen Argyl, PA, she loved cooking for and spending time with her loving family and she always had a special place in her caring heart for animals.
Sarah is survived by her grandchildren, Tania Alercia, of Nazareth, PA, Bobbi Sue Alercia, of Safety Harbor, FL and Peter Douglas, of Baltimore, MD, her great grandchildren; Marley Herman, Sarah and Arianna Werkheiser and Mason Messinger, her daughter-in-law, Georgia Alercia and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore S. Alercia, who passed in 2000 and her son, Robert Stephen Alercia, who passed on June 2, 2016.
Services are to be held privately.
