Born on February 7, 1959, in Yonkers, New York, he was the son of the late James M. Feely and Jeanette A. Wieland.

A 1977 graduate of North Rockland High School in Thiells, New York, Jim began his career in the printing industry in 1980 and went on to become a respected master printer. A man of many talents and passions, he was also a gifted painter, sculptor, and poet. Deeply proud of his Irish heritage, he was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Easton Division.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Margaret “Peggy” Feely; his sons, Sean and Devin Feely; his daughter-in-law, Emily Feely; his cherished grandson, Shiloh Feely; his brother, John (Maureen) Feely; and his sisters, Geralyn (Gary) Rutter, Cathy (James) Brooks, and Eileen (Jonathan) Mullane. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Tara and Molly, his cat, Matisse; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

A talented visual artist, Jim found great joy in creating and sharing his love of art with his sons. Known affectionately as “Opa,” he was overjoyed to welcome his first grandchild, Shiloh, into the world and treasured every moment with him. His warmth, creativity, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
