Stephen Joseph Dapkiewicz, 74, of Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2026, at LVHN Hecktown Oaks. He was born on October 23, 1952, at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Stephen will be remembered for his love of family and his years of hard work and dedication. He graduated from Phillipsburg Catholic in 1970 and attended Chaminade University of Honolulu from 1970 to 1973. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College in 1984.
Stephen’s career included 13 years as an assembler and test engineer at Ingersoll Rand, four years as general manager at Fish Engineering, and 21 years at CONMEC/GE, where he worked as a mechanical engineer, shop floor manager, and project manager. He retired in December 2012.
In his free time, Stephen enjoyed fishing, home improvement projects, and playing golf with his brothers. He is survived by his wife, Janet; his daughters, Jessica Brown and her husband, Randy, and Rebecca Zedar; his stepdaughter, Meg Brunell and her husband, Dan; his grandchildren, Riley, Aiden, Lincoln, Autumn, and Milo; his brothers, Bernie and his wife, Joanna, David and his wife, Chris, and Robert and his wife, Sherri; and his loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Ethel (Polgardy) Dapkiewicz, and his brother, Edward.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the thoughtful care given to Stephen and his family by the staff at LVHN Hecktown Oaks. They would also like to thank Finegan Funeral Home for their assistance.
