Charles “Charlie” Anton Powell, Jr., 68, of Carpentersville, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, surrounded by his daughters.
Born on February 21, 1958, in Bethlehem, PA, Charlie was the son of the late Charles Anton Powell, Sr. and Patricia Powell (Cavanaugh).
Charlie is survived by his daughters, Lauren Appezzato and spouse Nicholas Appezzato, of Palmer, PA and Megan Powell, of Williams Township, PA. Grandchildren, Nicholas Jiorle, Ella Appezzato, Olivia Appezzato and Sofia Appezzato. A sister, LuAnne Kessler of Schroon Lake, NY and nephew, Patrick Kessler, of Indiana.
Charlie graduated from Notre Dame High School, in Easton, PA in 1976, where he excelled at wrestling and football. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed fishing on the Delaware River and Jersey Shore. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants and Yankees.
In memory of Charlie, we ask that you take an afternoon, head to the nearest water, cast a line, and remember him when the fish are biting.
A Calling Hour is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Memorial Service to immediately follow.
