Dale Russell Young

Dale R. Young, 73, of Tatamy, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026. 

Born on September 30, 1952, in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Russell Young and Anita (Hagenbuch) Lux. He was raised in Williams Township, PA. 

A graduate of Wilson High School, Class of 1970, Dale began his career as a mason and went on to become a skilled carpenter. He first worked for Edinger Construction, Stroudsburg, PA, before owning and operating his own general contracting business from the 1980s through the early 1990s. He then worked for Mack Printing Group (later Cadmus Printing) in East Stroudsburg, PA, followed by Posavek Construction, Bethlehem, PA. He concluded his career with MC² of Pen Argyl, retiring in 2022. 

He was a devoted husband to Kathleen (Mack) Young, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Erik R. Young (Jennifer) and Jared A. Young. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Linda Kinney of Easton, PA, who passed in 2025; and an infant sister, Rhea. 

A fitness enthusiast who loved the outdoors, Dale enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and cycling. He will be remembered as a hardworking, dependable, and strong man who consistently placed the needs of others above his own. 

Above all, his greatest accomplishments were centered on his family, to whom he was deeply devoted. 

Funeral services will be held at Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA. A public viewing will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, followed by memorial services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John’s Union Cemetery in Williams Township, PA.
