Derl H. Maurer, Sr., 89, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Born on January 6, 1935, in Klingerstown, PA, he was the son of the late Howard and Edna (Fetterolf) Maurer. Derl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret Maurer, who passed in 2021.
Derl served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959.
Derl is survived by his sons, Derl H. Maurer, Jr., of Bethlehem, PA and James Maurer, of Alpha, NJ, his grandson, Kyle Maurer, his sister-in-law, Lydia Maurer, and his many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents, Derl was predeceased by his six siblings.
A Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Funeral Service to directly follow. The interment will then be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton, PA.
