Donald Gentzle

Donald Gentzle, 93, passed away peacefully at Moravian Hall Square on January 26, 2025.

Donald was born in Alpha, NJ and lived most of his life in Palmer Township. He was the son of John and Anna (Hrniak) Gentzle and was predeceased by his wife, Lena (Teveri) of Bangor, PA. Donald is survived by his sons, Donald (Debbie), of Palmer Township and Gary (Mary) of Bonita Springs, FL., 5 grandchildren (Donnie, Brad, Michael, Heather and Erin), and 9 great grandchildren.

Donald enjoyed his hobby of buying and selling automobiles. He thoroughly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren playing sports and worked to support The Palmer Township Athletic programs.

He had many jobs in his long life from New York Transformer, Schaible’s Bakery driver, Easton Area School District Bus driver. Lastly, salesman for Prudential for 30 years, retiring at age 60.

After his retirement, he was hired by Moravian Hall Square to transport residents in vans to airports and medical facilities.

Don and his wife both became residents of Moravian Hall Square and made many friends over a 30-year period.

A Viewing will be held from 9:30 am to 10:20 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church at 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA. Both viewing and Funeral Mass will be held at the same location, St. Jane’s Catholic Church. A private Interment will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in Alpha, NJ. The Finegan Funeral Home of Palmer Twp., Pa. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
