Dr. Hee Joon Shin, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family.
He will be lovingly remembered by Jung Hee Shin (his wife of 56 years); son, Eric Shin; daughter, Ann Q Devito; son-in-law Richard and his grandchildren, Quin and Ricky.
Hee Joon was the oldest brother to five siblings; three sisters, two brothers and many nieces/nephews.
After graduating Seoul’s Yonsei University, he immigrated from South Korea to the United States in 1968 to fulfill a life-long dream to heal.
As a general surgeon/oncologist at Warren Hospital, in Phillipsburg, NJ, for 33 years, he touched the lives of so many.
His body was gifted to the University of Pennsylvania for medical research.
