Elaine S. Grubb

Elaine S. (Gatlos) Grubb, 90, of Bethlehem PA, passed away in the evening of Saturday, July 4th, 2026. She was the wife of the late John R. Grubb.

Elaine was born in Phoenixville, PA to the late Andrew and Anna (Klimcho) Gatlos. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Blue Ridge Communications in Stroudsburg, PA.

She is survived by her children: Gail Shively, wife of Barry Shively Jr., Bethlehem, PA; Gary Grubb, husband of Shirell Grubb, East Stroudsburg, PA; Grandsons: AJ Grubb, Jack Grubb, Justan Grubb, Jason Grubb, Joshua Grubb; Granddaughters: Jenah (Grubb) Gunter, Julia Shively, Miranda Shively; Sister, Joan, wife of late Kenneth Tulish of Phoenixville, PA.

She was predeceased by her sisters; Margaret, wife of late Michael Nagy; Anna, wife of late Raymond R. Kenyon; Shirley, wife of the late Bruce Gerhard; brothers; John, husband of Rose Gatlos, of Phoenixville, PA, and Andrew.

Elaine found great joy in spending time with her family and in the simple pleasures of everyday life. She was an avid reader and lifelong lover of books who also enjoyed playing mahjong. Her favorite author was Nora Roberts. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and her family will forever treasure her signature Chocolate Cake and Apple Cake recipes. Elaine enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and watching QVC, and she was rarely without her favorite Kiwi Strawberry Snapple. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will be cherished for generations to come.
