George Espinosa, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. He was 84.
George is survived by his devoted wife, Sally, with whom he shared 61 years of love and partnership since their marriage in 1963. Together, they raised four sons: John Keith, married to Susan; Stephen Gregg, married to Nancy; Robert Paul, married to Lysbeth; and William Donald, married to Karen. George also leaves behind 11 cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
A man of many talents, George’s hobbies included woodworking, painting, drawing, and caring for his model trains. He had a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and creativity, which he expressed through these passions.
George’s thirst for knowledge and determination led him to earn a master’s degree from Brown University. Following his academic achievements, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the U.S. Navy, where he proudly spent three years aboard the USS Hartley, forging lifelong friendships and serving with honor. He was later employed by NJ Bell and retired after 35 years of service.
Predeceased by his parents, Esther and James, and his brother, James, George’s legacy endures through his family and the countless lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and humor. He will be fondly remembered for his strength, boundless generosity, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Finegan Funeral Home, located at 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, on Saturday, October 5th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A service at the funeral home will follow at 2:00 PM.
