Gloria Mae La Barre, born on December 24, 1937, in Phillipsburg N.J., went home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2025.
Gloria was the loving wife of Dr. Raymond D. La Barre, Chiropractor and were happily married for 63 years prior to his passing in 2021. She is survived by her children Debora, wife of Dr. Andrew Melchert, son Dr. Matthew La Barre, his wife Janine, her late son David La Barre and loving surviving daughter in law, Sherry.
She had two brothers Conrad and Harry Ihrie and a sister Shirley Stott.
She was the proud Grandmom to, Ryan La Barre and his wife, Sophie. Tyler La Barre and his wife, Mallory, Max Melchert and his wife Cambria, Xavier Melchert and his wife Rachael, Andrea Slay and her husband Weylen, Austen La Barre and his wife Gabrielle, David La Barre, and Taylor La Barre.
She had 7 great grandchildren, Kaiya, Kinley, Teak, Mila, Andrew, Rowan and Callum.
Gloria was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Memorial Church who had a deep love for her savior, Jesus Christ.
She was a devoted mother and grandmom and has always been the loving matriarch of the family. Her thoughtfulness, generosity, and faithful devotion to Jesus will never be forgotten.
Her greatest accomplishment was being the best Mom and Grandmom ever. She was a proud Alumni of Easton Hospital School of Nursing, 1958.
She was the daughter of the late Herman and Carrie Ihrie Cadira and late step father James Cadira. Her favorite bible verse was John 3:16 and Proverbs 3:5-6.

Calling Hours are scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a Funeral Service to directly follow. The interment will then be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton, PA.
