James Vincent Tavares (“Jim”), 52, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2023, in Easton, PA.
He was born to James and Denise Tavares in New York, NY on November 3, 1971.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Dorene; and children, Danielle and James; granddaughter, Raegan; and loving parents, James and Denise. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, and nephews.
Jim’s lifetime occupation was in auto sales. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and adoring his granddaughter immensely.
Jim was a wonderful son, husband, father, and grandfather (“Grandpaaa”). He was a very generous and caring soul to all who knew and loved him. Jim was always there to lend a helping hand. He was known to give great advice. Jim’s heart was made of gold. He truly was “God sent”. Jim had a way of making everyone that came into his life feel special. He will always be remembered lovingly by his family and many friends.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, 18045, with an additional viewing hour on Friday morning, January 5, 2024, from 8:45-9:45. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA 18045. The interment will be held at the Resurrection Cemetery, 547 North Krocks Road, Allentown, PA 18106.
