Jean E. Talpas, 89, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Born on February 13, 1935, in Phillipsburg, NJ, Jean was the daughter of the late Margaret (McDonald) Williams. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Michael D. Talpas, who passed in 2005.
Jean was a graduate of the Phillipsburg High School and went on to attend the Churchman Business School in Easton, PA. Jean was an avid reader who loved spending time at the casino, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her children; Michele Talpas-Lexow, of Florida, Michael Talpas, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Harmony Township, NJ, Susan Miller and her husband, Mark, of Nazareth, PA and Chris Talpas and his wife, Melody, of Forks Township, PA, her grandchildren; Jonathan, Shauna, Jamie, Amanda, Eric, Maria, Luke, Elisabeth, Sarah and Mark, her great-grandchildren; Julius, Logan, Jordyn, Jaida, Ayden, Seth and Mason, her sister, Margaret Uvary and her husband, Sam, of Phillipsburg, NJ, and her many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Jean was predeceased by her grandson, Ryan Michael Talpas, her sister, Ruth Ervin and her brothers, John and Robert Skinner.
A Viewing is scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Funeral Service to immediately follow. The interment will then be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine.
