Joseph Lawrence Alick

January 12, 1945 – June 25, 2025

Joseph Lawrence Alick, 80, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, surrounded by family and love.

A devoted and loving husband, Joe shared a deep bond with his wife Regina—his partner in both life’s adventures and quiet comforts at home.

A tinkerer at heart, Joe was endlessly curious and inventive. He had a gift for working with light and wiring, often helping friends and family with ceiling fans, fixtures, and holiday displays. His passion extended to his work at and both Lutron Electronics/Lighting, and Sears Hardware, where he delighted in offering useful advice to customers and sharing his practical know-how.

His home was filled with nautical charm—a quiet but ever-present tribute to his love of the sea. Joe and Regina also gave generously of their time, volunteering at Musikfest, a community celebration they both treasured.

A true model train enthusiast, Joe found great joy in creating elaborate displays that captured the imagination of children and adults alike. He brought the same passion to collecting vintage beer signs, curating a colorful and nostalgic collection that told stories of decades gone by.

Joe’s gentle spirit was especially clear in his love for dogs. He had many loyal companions throughout his life, each one knowing they had a true friend in him.

Holidays were a highlight in Joe’s year. He never missed watching the Mummers Parade, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, or the Rose Bowl Parade, delighting in their traditions and magic. And every year, his home glowed inside and out with lights, spreading joy to all who passed by.

He was a proud supporter of his family’s accomplishments—cheering on his son David and granddaughter Maia in their theatrical pursuits, and celebrating the athletic achievements of grandchildren Madeleine and Raymond. He was a dedicated and familiar presence at their performances and games.

Joe was also a beloved neighbor and friend, welcoming many into his home and co-hosting lively block parties during his children’s youth. He shared his gifts with St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, helping organize New Year’s Eve and other parish events alongside Judy, and was an active member of Parents Without Partners, where he built lasting friendships and community.

He served proudly in the Army National Guard and was a graduate of Phillipsburg Catholic High School, the DeVry Institute, Northampton County Community College, and Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna (Lesko) Alick, and by his beloved wife, Regina.

He is survived by his brother Robert (MaryAnn) Alick; his daughter Dawn (Bill) Lewis; sons David (Katrina) Alick and Daniel Alick; stepsons Robert Weppel and Jonathan Weppel, and his cherished grandchildren Madeleine and Raymond Lewis, and Maia Alick as well as Mae, Will, Hope, Michael, Nicole, Chloe, Sean, and Summer Weppel.

A public viewing will be held at Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jane’s Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton, PA on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10:00am . In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Joe’s memory to Musikfest (via artsquest.org) or the State Theatre (via statetheatre.org)—two organizations close to his heart.
