Marie D. Urban, 98, passed away on September 14, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on July 15, 1927, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Crowther Zenga. Her husband, Martin Urban, passed away on January 12, 2010. They were married on September 21, 1952. Sunday, September 21, 2025 will mark the 73rd anniversary of their marriage.
Marie worked for Shop Rite Food-A-Rama in Freehold, NJ, for 29 years, from 1970 – 1999. Marie’s hobbies included crewel embroidery, reading, word search books, solitaire and trips to the casino.
Marie is survived by her son, Donald Urban of Nazareth, Pa., her daughter Diana Buchok and her husband Paul of Palmer Twp., Pa. Marie’s sister is Rose Hormann of Toms River, NJ. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was also predeceased by her brothers Richard Zenga and wife Jeannette, Louis Zenga and wife Jean, Robert Zenga, her sister Blanche O’Brien and husband John.
Viewing hours will be held on Thursday September 18, 2025 from 6 to 9 pm at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, Pa. Interment will be held on Friday September 19, 2025 at 11 am at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold-Englishtown Rd, Freehold, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice at www.slhn.org
