Mary Rose Tomaino, 96, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026.
Born on July 9, 1929, in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Josephine (Passafiume) Matraxia.
A proud graduate of the Easton High School Class of 1947, Mary spent decades as a skilled seamstress, working for various textile industries throughout the Lehigh Valley. Her talent with a needle was matched only by her mastery in the kitchen; she was an extraordinary cook and baker who found her greatest joy in feeding those she loved.

To Mary, family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Guy B. Tomaino.
Mary’s legacy lives on through her children, William Tomaino and his wife Mary (Dowbeniuk), and Gary Tomaino and his wife Stephanie (Patti). She was the adored grandmother of Michael Tomaino (Jeannie), Christina Tomaino (Jake), and Isabelle Tuosto (Joseph), and the proud great-grandmother of Silas, Dayla, and Nicholas.
She is also survived by her sister, Florence DiVietro; Florence’s daughter Debra DiVietro Ghia; and son Matthew DiVietro and his wife Karen; and many other cherished nieces and nephews.
A Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. The interment will then be at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton, PA.
