Michael Vedomsky of Easton passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 76 years. Michael, more commonly known as Mike, was born in Bethlehem on August 13, 1949. He was the son of the late Theodore Vedomsky, and Mary Chayka Vedomsky. Mike graduated from Liberty High School in 1967. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1971. Mike received his Juris Doctorate in Law from The University of Tulsa Law School in 1974. Thereafter, he was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1976.
Michael was a successful attorney and had a busy private law practice in Easton. Further, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Northampton County for nearly 20 years and later as a Public Defender in Lehigh County for nearly 25 years.
Mike was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed the classics. In addition, Mike loved to play golf. However, his greatest passions were traveling and running. Mike would take trips all over the country and participate in marathon races at the locations to which he traveled. Mike also belonged to and enjoyed his association with several social clubs, including the Heights Athletic Association, the Columbian Home of Allentown, the Palmer Township Fire Company, the Wilson Democratic Association, the Liberty Hose Company No. 2, the Forks Township Senior Center, the Jersey Hose Fire Company No. 2, the Safety First Fire Company and Goodfellas.
Mike is survived by his sister, Sandra, and her husband, Ralph Dech of Chapman Quarries and his two nieces, Stephanie Dech Bilo of Madison, New Jersey and Emily Dech of Paoli, PA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 AM on October 31, 2025 at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30–11 AM at the funeral home. A service will follow thereafter at 11:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow the services.
