Michael W. Logan Obituary

Michael William Logan, 82, of Palmer Township, PA, formerly of Garden City, NY, passed away while surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Born on April 27, 1944, in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Michael F. and Josephine (Farrell) Logan. Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Anne Marie (Hoey) Logan, who passed in 2024.

Michael was a graduate of Xavarian HighSchool and went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College. He then earned two Master’s Degrees, one in Computer Science and an MBA. Mike had a wonderful career, first as an electrical engineer working at Grumman. He was the designer of the entire electrical system of the F-11 airplane. After seven years as an engineer, he walked on to Wall Street and started his career as a Stock Broker. He loved being on Wall Street and loved to share his stories of his clients and experiences. While Mike had a very successful career, he will always be remembered most for his humility and unselfishness. He always put others, especially his family before himself.  He loved the water, fishing and spending time with his entire family. He was known for his jokes, always at the ready. He was quick witted and had a laugh that was contagious. He was so proud of his family, especially his grandchildren and encouraged everyone to follow their passions. He will be so missed, but his legacy will never die.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Holdorff and her husband, Robert, and Patricia Black and her husband, Geoffrey, his grandchildren; Timothy, Caleb, Andrew, Abigail and Justin, his sisters, Patricia Daughton and Rosemary Logan, his siblings-in-law, Kathryn Hoey, Patrick Hoey, Joseph Hoey and Anne Keneally Logan, his many nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Rosie and Teddy. In addition to his wife and parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Logan and his in-laws, Joseph and Kathryn Hoey.

A Viewing is scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM at the Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA.
