Richard “Dick” Muschlitz

Richard “Dick” Muschlitz, 80, of Forks Township, PA, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hecktown Oaks.

Richard was born in Bushkill Township, PA, on the family farm. He was the eldest son of the late Walter and Josephine Muschlitz. Richard was a graduate of Nazareth Area High School and a proud Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the United Steel Union 5503 and was employed by Ingersoll Rand / Flowserve for 35 years.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia, his three children; Allen Muschlitz (Brooke), Stephen Muschlitz (Kimberly) and Tammy Trimmer (Keith), his five grandchildren; Ashley Roth (Devin), Tyler, Ava and Andrew Muschlitz and Adam Trimmer, his brother, Tommie Muschlitz and his sister, Linda Rissmiller (Rodney).

Richard was a Philly sports fan and always enjoyed a good Nazareth High School sports team win. He was an avid outdoorsman, a board member of the Stockertown Rod & Gun Club, a member of the Merrill Creek Sportsman Club, the Delaware River Shad Fisherman’s Association, Brown & Lynch American Legion Post 9 and a lifetime member of the NRA. Many say he was happiest in his boat even if it wasn’t in the water. He will truly be missed. Fish on Pappy!

A Viewing is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:15 AM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Graveside Service to follow at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton, PA at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s name to the Brown & Lynch American Legion Post, 2260 Corriere Road, Easton, PA, 18045.
