Terry Ronald Slack, 79, of Palmer Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024.
Born on June 26, 1945, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Fralin and Gertrude (Stoneback) Slack.
Although he lived in Palmer for a little more than a decade, Terry spent most of his life in Phillipsburg and considered himself to be a Phillipsburgian through and through, attending as many Stateliners football games as possible and following all of the Phillipsburg High School sports very closely. You would often find him at the flag pole at the annual Easton Phillipsburg Game watching intently. Terry worked as a molder for many years at Elastimold in Hackettstown, NJ, and, due to his devotion to his family, worked many other jobs as well, delivering newspapers for the Star Ledger and driving an ice cream truck, just to name a few. Terry loved the Philadelphia Eagles, always sought after a good Joe’s steakshop cheesesteak and greatly enjoyed listening to Oldies music. His family is very proud to say that Terry took his last drink of alcohol eleven years ago and proceeded to commit himself to a sober life ever since. Of all of his loves, Terry’s greatest was his family, they were the light of his life.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sheila (Lifland) Slack. These two love birds left home in 1962, when Sheila was 15 years old and Terry was 16, and drove to Georgia to get married. He is also survived by, his daughters, Terri Infante and her husband, Rafael, and daughter Trudy Trumbore, his grandchildren; Crystal Scheip and Corey Scheip and his wife, Katie Scheip, Ashe and Marissa Picione and Madie and Abbie Trumbore, his great-grandchildren, Allie and Cameron Brown and William Scheip, his sisters, Gale Clark and Faye Small and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his daughter, Sherri Carlos, his brother, Ronald Slack and his sister, Dorothy Lippincott.
A Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at The Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA, with a Funeral Service to directly follow.
